The net-tools command brings back all of the oldschool tools that we're used to:
/bin/netstat
/sbin/ifconfig
/sbin/ipmaddr
/sbin/iptunnel
/sbin/mii-tool
/sbin/nameif
/sbin/plipconfig
/sbin/rarp
/sbin/route
/sbin/slattach
/usr/sbin/arp
To install it just do an:
apt-get install net-tools
Of coures this applies to all of the main Debian distros whether we are talking Ubuntu, Mint etc etc..
